George Rafeedie is the founder of Tell Your Story, a nimble and flexible story-driven brand and marketing communications agency. George's purpose, and that of the agency, is to make things happen through developing and telling great stories so organizations can be successful and its people happy. George likes to work with clients who want high-level talent and thinking without having to use a big ad agency or PR firm.
Prior to founding Tell Your Story, Rafeedie was a partner in branding and marketing consulting firm, BlueSilver Inc. Prior to that, he launched the Chicago office of HSR Business to Business (now Gyro) and grew it into one of the area’s most decorated b-to-b integrated marketing firms. In five years beginning in 2003, Rafeedie developed the office from zero billings to serving the needs of clients including USG Corporation, Motorola, United Stationers, Zebra Technologies, LaSalle Bank and SIRVA.
Rafeedie’s corporate background includes marketing, PR and communications roles with Baxter Healthcare Corporation and professional services firm Arthur Andersen. He graduated with a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Public Relations from Ohio University.
Rafeedie has been involved nationally with BMA since 1997. He has served on the board of the Chicago BMA since 2007-2008 and has held the following roles: vice president 2011-2013, membership chair 2008-2013. He was the chapter's 2006 member of the year and 2011 board member of the year. In addition, Rafeedie is past co-president of the Northwestern University Medill Alumni Club of Chicago, and is an adjunct faculty member of DePaul University’s College of Communication and an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University's Medill School.
