Amanda Pollard (Stewart)
Manager of Social Media & PR, Tell Your Story Brand Communications
Amanda Pollard joined BMA in 2011 as a Young Professional and immediately got involved with both by attending events and jumping right in to support the Social Media committee, where she still volunteers today. She takes a metrics-driven approach to social media and PR and is passionate about integrating social and digital media with traditional public relations. Currently, she serves as manager, social media and public relations for Tell Your Story Brand Communications.

BMA would not be able to operate if it wasn't for our volunteer power. Lynn Hazan is the number 1 recruiter of new members who become very engaged in volunteering for multiple programs. She always is a welcoming, friendly face manning the registration desk and has supported the silent and live auction acquisition team for countless years. She is an incredible brand advocate and we appreciate her membership for the past 9 years.

Jason Ferrara
Vice President, Business Development at Ifbyphone
Jason Ferrara joined the board in 2007 while leading corporate marketing at CareerBuilder. It only made sense that he take on our CareerLink committee, which he did very well. Mentoring and ongoing education is very important to him so a few years later, he was tapped to take on the Young Professionals committee. While leading the YP team, he transformed the group committing to 5 events a year and growth of over 50%. His work with the YP’s did not go unnoticed. During the election in May 2012, he was confirmed as the BMA Executive Vice President and will take over as President in 2013-2014.

Michael Krauss
President at Market Strategy Group
Michael Krauss is president of Market Strategy Group, a business strategy and strategic marketing consultancy. Krauss has served as the chief marketing officer of DiamondCluster International and as a fellow with the firm [NASDAQ: DTPI, sold to Price Waterhouse in September, 2011.
Prior to joining DiamondCluster, he was a principal with OmniTech Consulting Group. Before that, Krauss was the worldwide director of marketing at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He led the first global marketing and branding initiative that established Andersen Consulting as a leading worldwide entity. He is also the @ C - Level marketing columnist for Marketing News, the official publication of the American Marketing Association. Krauss has also served on the board of directors of Ellerbe Becket, the global architecture and engineering firm [which was sold to AECOM].
Krauss’ career as a global marketing executive has ranged from chocolate chips to computer chips. He began his career as a product manager at Esmark and later at Keebler. He holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He also holds a CPA certificate in Illinois. He taught on the faculty of the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in its innovative New Product Development Laboratory. He joined BMA Chicago in 2001 and has served on the board since 2002-2003 and has held roles as executive vice president, program chairman and president in 2003-2004.
