Recognize a Rising Star Award

BMA Chicago is honoring young talent through its new Rising Star Award. Managers and supervisors can nominate members of their teams who demonstrated the Best Contribution in Business-to-Business Marketing. Representatives from all marketing disciplines—Creative, Media, Strategy, Results and Analysis—are encouraged to submit nominations now through April 22, 2011.

The winner will be announced at the 2011 Tower Awards Gala on May 11, 2011, at Hotel Sax.

Goals
  • Recognize and engage Young Professionals (age 30 and under) in b-to-b marketing
  • Encourage BMA audience to encourage additional participation from Young Professionals
  • Honor and retain top talent in b-to-b marketing
Award
  • Best Contribution to Business-to-Business Marketing in 2010
  • Disciplines include: Creative, Media, Strategy, Results and Analysis
  • Winner receives the following:  a complimentary registration to the 2011 National Conference, Unleash, in Chicago June 1-3 ($1000 value); recognition at the September 2011 BMA Marketing Innovators Luncheon and seat at the speaker table with the BMA Chicago president; physical award to show off to colleagues, family and friends; participation on the Young Professionals committee (if member) and a press release created and distributed by BMA announcing the winner in mid-May that can be added to your portfolio.
Entry Criteria
Supervisors/managers will submit three paragraphs to explain how their nominee(s) achieved one or more of the follo
  • Developed markedly in their marketing/creative/project management/media/analysis skills
  • Proved to be instrumental in problem solving/creative brainstorming that led to eventual client solution
  • Overcame a difficult marketing problem/question for a client
  • Went above and beyond in training/mentoring a new or more junior team member
Target Audience for Marketing of Award
  • Young Professionals for self-involvement
  • Mid- to senior-level management for nomination purposes
  • Executive-level management for BMA PR and/or endorsement of award
Entry Fees
  • $50 per entry for members; $40 each for two or more entries
  • $75 per entry for non-members; $65 each for two or more entries
