About Lisa Baird

Lisa Baird was named Chief Marketing Officer of the United States Olympic Committee in January 2009. As the USOC’s Chief Marketing Officer, Baird directs the USOC’s sales, marketing, events, licensing and media efforts. Since joining the USOC, she has signed over $100 million dollars in sponsorship revenue including signing 14 new corporate partners in one of the most challenging marketplaces in recent years. She has launched a number of innovative new marketing platforms including a new website, tablet application and including a national fundraising campaign, “Raise Our Flag.”  In addition, Baird has been a public proponent of strengthening anti-ambush measures for the sports industry and sponsored a resolution to prevent unfair advertising targeting Olympic sponsors which was unanimously approved by the National Governing Body Council.

She also served as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Consumer Products for the National Football League.  Baird oversaw the League’s launch of the NFL Play60 program fighting childhood obesity and worked on the team that reopened the Super Dome with the Saints first home game following the devastation of Katrina.  Baird also worked IBM, General Motors, and Procter & Gamble. Baird is a graduate of Penn State University with both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration degree.  

From 2004-2007 she served on the Board of Directors for the Association of National Advertisers. She currently serves on the Penn State Center for Sports Business and Research Advisory Board and was awarded Outstanding Scholar of 2010 by the Schuyler Honors College at Penn State University. She has been honored with the Vernon Schranz Lecture Series Award, was a WISE Woman of the Year and was named a “Game-Changer” in Sports Business Journal in 2011.  In 2012, she received the Advertising Women of New York’s “Changing the Game” Award.
