George Rafeedie, founder of Tell Your Story and an award winner himself, will lead this panel who show you how to showcase successful programs with compelling campaign summaries and convincing submission materials, and will share winning 2011 Tower Award examples to give you ideas and take-aways. George Rafeedie, founder of Tell Your Story Brand Communications
George Rafeedie is the founder of Tell Your Story, a story-driven brand and marketing communications agency that uses independent creative, communications and marketing resources to build virtual agency teams for clients who don’t want the overhead of a big agency. Prior to founding Tell Your Story, Rafeedie was a partner in branding and marketing outsourcing firm, BlueSilver Inc. In 2003, Rafeedie launched the Chicago office of HSR Business to Business (now :gyro) and grew it into one of the area’s most decorated b-to-b integrated marketing firms. In five years, Rafeedie developed the office from zero billings in 2003 to serving the needs of clients including USG Corporation, Motorola, United Stationers, Zebra Technologies, LaSalle Bank and SIRVA. He graduated with a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Public Relations from Ohio University.

Kathi Wright, Vice President, Marketing, Wells Fargo

In her role as vice president, Kathi oversees strategic planning and execution of all major marketing and communication functions of Wells Fargo Capital Finance.  Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Kathi held positions with Microsoft and Wheels, Inc. She has been in the marketing and advertising industries for 20 years with a focus on B2B.  Kathi holds a B.A. in fine arts from the University of South Florida and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She joined BMA/Chicago in 2002 and has served as vice president of communications, has chaired the golf outing, has co-chaired the Biz Bash and currently co-chairs the sponsorship efforts.

Shannon Prown, Director of Marketing, Navigant
Shannon is the Marketing Director for Navigant’s Dispute, Investigative and Regulatory (DIR) Advisory segment, which provides complex financial, data and economic analysis to clients and their legal counsel facing complex disputes, investigation and regulatory compliance issues.  A critical component of the marketing approach within the DIR segment is the identification and distribution of relevant and valuable content to the legal industry.  One of our leading thought leadership vehicles is Investigations Quarterly magazine which explores issues of interest to counsel in the areas of accounting and fraud investigations and white collar crime. 

Gordon Hochhalter, Managing Partner, Mobium

Gordon Hochhalter is Partner, Creativitystrategyconnectivity at Mobium, the unconventional business branding and marketing firm. He is the proud owner of more than 450 creative awards from the likes of The One Show, Clio, Art Directors Club, Addy, Andy, New York Festivals, ProComm, International Titan, Tower, Telly, CEBA, B2 and Ace Awards and has served as a judge for numerous award competitions. His work can be found in The Library of Congress, The AIGA Design Archives and The University of Chicago Library. He attributes this to his unique ability to take credit for other people’s work.

Jeanine Gaffke, BMA Chicago Tower Awards Chair and Global Marketing Communications Director, Diversey

Jeanine Gaffke has a track record of delivering award winning and revenue generating Marketing solutions for more than 18 years.  She has had the honor of working for some of the best Chicago companies such as  Ariel Investments, Motorola, Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation and Discover Card. She received a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University and her MBA from DePaul University, where she helped develop the e-Business Masters Program for the school. Jeanine is committed to community development. She is the Vice President of Board of the Business Marketing Association, is the past Executive Director of the Cultural Mile Association and volunteers her time, along with her husband, Michael, tutoring and conducting various other activities at Ariel Community Academy. Travel and a healthy lifestyle are also part of Jeanine’s portfolio. Every year she embarks on an adventurous vacation—she has climbed the mountains of Nepal, dove the blue-hole in Belize and even completed a 110 mile walking safari in Africa.
