April Breakfast RoundTable Seminar

The Changing Face of Trade Shows

Michael Krauss, president of Market Strategy Group and past BMA president, will moderate a panel discussion on “The Shocking Truth About What's Happening at Trade Shows” at BMA’s next Breakfast RoundTable on Tuesday, April 15, at IIT’s Stuart School of Business.

The discussion will explore the respective merits and drawbacks of traditional trade shows compared with online/virtual trade shows, and topics will include attendance, revenue, differences in focus and future trends. For example, are these types of trade shows mutually exclusive or do they complement each other? Where do they best fit and not fit? Is green exhibiting making a real impact?

Panel members will be: Richard Norby, vice president of creative services at Live Marketing; Rich Hawkinson, executive vice president and co-founder of InXpo; Chris Metzger, national account director at Freeman; and Jim McElherne, senior account executive for exhibits and design at GES Exposition Services.

The Breakfast RoundTables are part of BMA’s value-added membership initiative and are intended to complement the chapter’s monthly luncheon seminars with a more interactive educational format. The RoundTables are held on the second Tuesday of each month.
